Simru Hazal Civan (Istanbul, 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist who explores different ways of telling stories with photography, text, video and book. After graduating from university with a degree in Pharmacy she attend Documentary Photography Academy in Istanbul.  In her practice she focuses primarily on physicality and limitations of the medium; investigating relationship between imagined and the real.
